Edvard Munch

Edvard Munch was a Norwegian expressionist artist.
Early in his career, he was influenced by
neo-impressionism. It was an art movement
in the late 19th century that used pointillism.
At an early age, Munch lost his mother and siblings.
This is why he often depicted death in his paintings.
He also painted figures showing the dark sides
of human emotions, such as loneliness and anxiety.
The Scream is one of his most famous artworks.
