참 사람 되신 말씀
O Word of God Incarnate


1. 참 사람 되신 말씀
   O Word of God In-car-nate,
   하늘의 지혜요
   O Wis-dom from on high,
   변하지 않는 진리
   O Truth un-changed, un-chang-ing,
   온 세상 빛이라
   O Light of our dark sky:
   그 말씀 성경에서
   We praise Thee for the ra-diance
   영원히 비치어
   That from the hal-lowed page,
   내 길에 등불 되니
   A Lan-tern to our foot-steps,
   늘 찬송하리라
   Shines on from age to age.

2. 주께서 세운 교회
   The Church from Thee her Mas-ter,
   이 말씀 받아서
   Re-ceived the gift di-vine,
   이 귀한 빛을 비춰
   And still that light she lift-eth
   온 세상 밝힌다
   O'er all earth to shine.
   귀중한 성경말씀
   It is the sa-cred cas-ket
   금보다 귀하고
   Where gems of truth are stored
   주님의 귀한 모습
   It is the heaven-drawn pic-ture
   잘 그려놓았다
   Of Thee, the liv-ing Word.

3. 이 말씀 깃발처럼
   It float-eth like a ban-ner
   드높이 날리니
   Be-fore God's host un-furled,
   어두운 바다 위에
   It shin-eth like a bea-con
   등대와 같도다
   A-bove the dark-ling world.
   이 고해 같은 세상
   It is the Chart and Com-pass
   일평생 지날 때
   That o'er life's surg-ing sea,
   그 말씀 나의 길에
   'Mid mists and rocks and quick-sands,
   등불이 되도다
   Still guides, O Christ, to Thee.

4. 주님의 몸 된 교회
   O make Thy Church, dear Sav-iour,
   빛나는 등 되어
   A lamp of pur-est gold,
   이 세상 만민 앞에
   To bear be-fore the na-tions
   비추게 하소서
   Thy true light as of old.
   저 방황하는 길손
   O teach Thy wan-d'ring pil-grims
   이 등불 따라서
   By this their path to trace,
   주 얼굴 볼 때 까지
   Till, clouds and dark-ness end-ed,
   잘 가게 하소서 아-멘
   They see Thee face to face. A-men.
