어둔 밤 마음에 잠겨
Unto Hearts in deep Night Pining


1. 어둔 밤 마음에 잠겨
   Un-to hearts in deep night pin-ing,
   역사에 어둠 짙었을 때에
   And a world cap-tive un-der dark-ness' hand,
   계명성 동쪽에 밝아
   In the East the day-star, sin-ing,
   이 나라 여명이 왔다
   Brought a new dawn-ing to this land.
   고요한 아침의 나라
   And this Land of the Qui-et Morn,
   빛 속에 새롭다
   Lives now in light made new,
   이 빛 삶 속에 얽혀
   While life's light lifes a tow-er,
   이 땅에 생명 탑 놓아간다
   In this land firm-ly found-ed, strong and true,

2. 옥토에 뿌리는 깊어
   Root-ed deep in rich plant-a-tions,
   하늘로 줄기 가지 솟을 때
   And with boughs reach-ing brave-ly to the skies,
   가지 잎 억만을 헤어
   By its leaves it heals the na-tions,
   그 열매 만민이 산다
   By its fruit ev-'ry need sup-plies
   고요한 아침의 나라
   While the Land of the Qui-et Morn,
   일꾼을 부른다
   Calls work-ers, to be-come,
   하늘 씨앗이 되어
   God's good seed, heav-en plant-ed,
   역사의 생명을 이어가리
   That life's work on the earth may yet be done.

3. 맑은 샘 줄기 용 솟아
   Crys-tal springs, with fresh-ets flow-ing,
   거칠은 땅을 흘러 적실 때
   Pour out streams to re-fresh a thirst-y land,
   기름진 푸른 벌판이
   Ver-dant mead-ows, rich-ly grow-ing,
   눈 앞에 활짝 트인다
   Rise be-fore us on ev-'ry hand.
   고요한 아침의 나라
   O, dear Land of the Qui-et Morn,
   새 하늘 새 땅아
   New heav-en and new earth,
   길이 꺼지지 않는
   Bright borch, un-quench'd for-ev-er,
   인류의 횃불 되어 타거라
   Be a light for all peo-ples, flam-ing forth!
