1. 왕의 명령 전달할 사자여
   Her-alds of Christ, who bear the King's com-mands
   불명의 소식 손에 들고서
   Im-mor-tal ti-dings in your mor-tal hands,
   그 소식 널리 전파하여서
   Pass on and car-ry swift the news ye bring:
   대왕의 길을 곧게 닦아라
   Make, straight, make straight the high-way of the King.

2. 마른 사막 또 습한 땅 거쳐
   Through des-ert ways, dark fen, and deep mo-rass,
   밀림과 바다 높은 산 지나
   Through jun-gles, slug-gish seas, and moun-tain pass,
   주저치 말고 길을 닦아서
   Build ye the road, and fal-ter not, nor stay
   주님의 길을 예비하여라
   Pre-pare a-cross the earth the King's high-way.

3. 믿음 주사 그 길을 닦아서
   Lord, give us faith and strength the road to build,
   약속의 성취 보게 하소서
   To see the prom-ise of the day ful-filled,
   싸움이 없고 다툼 그칠 때
   When war shall be no more and strife shall cease
   평화의 왕이 오시리로다 아-멘
   Up-on the high-way of the Prince of peace. A-men.
