   저 묵은 해가 가는데

   옛 것을 울려 보내고

   새 것을 맞아들이자

2. 시기와 분쟁 옛 생각
   Ring out a slow-ly dy-ing cause,
   모두 다 올려 보내고
   And an-cient forms of par-ty strife,
   순결한 새 맘을
   Ring in the no-bler modes of life,
   다 함께 맞아들이자
   With sweet-er man-ners, pur-er laws.

3. 그 흉한 질병 고통과
   Ring our old shapes of foul dis-ease
   또 한이 없는 탐욕과
   Ring out the nar-rowing lust of gold,
   전쟁을 울려 보내고
   Ring out the thou-sand wars of old,
   평화를 맞아들이자
   Ring in the thou-sand years of peace.
