내 주는 강한 성이요
A Mighty Fortress is Our God


1. 내 주는 강한 성이요
   A might-y For-tress is our God,
   방패와 병기 되시니
   A Bul-wark nev-er fail-ing
   큰 환난에서 우리를
   Our Help-er He a-mid the flood
   구하여 내시리로다
   Of mor-tal ills pre-vail-ing.
   옛 원수 마귀는 이때도 힘을 써
   For still our an-cient foe Doth seek to work us woe
   모략과 권세로
   His craft and pow'r are great
   무기를 삼으니
   And, armed with cru-el hate,
   천하에 누가 당하랴
   On earth is not His e-qual.

2. 내 힘만 의지할 때는
   Did we in our own strength con-fide,
   패할 수 밖에 없도다
   Our striv-ing would be los-ing
   힘 있는 장수 나와서
   Were not the right Man on our side,
   날 대신하여 싸우네
   The Man of God's own choos-ing.
   이 장수 누군가 주 예수그리스도
   Dost ask who that may be Christ Je-sus, it is He,
   만군의 주로다
   Lord Sab-a-oth His Name,
   당할 자 누구랴
   From age to age the same,
   반드시 이기리로다
   And He must win the bat-tle.

3. 이 땅에 마귀 들끓어
   And though this world, with dev-ils filled,
   우리를 삼키려 하나
   Should threat-en to un-do us,
   겁내지 말고 섰거라
   We will not fear, for God hath willed
   진리로 이기리로다
   His truth to tri-umph through us
   친척과 재물과 명예와 생명을
   Let goods and kind-red go, this mor-tal life al-so
   다 뺏앗긴대도
   The bod-y they may kill
   진리는 살아서
   God's truth a-bid-eth still
   그 나라 영원하리라
   His King-dom is for-ev-er.
