십자가 그늘 밑에
Beneath the Cross of Jesus


1. 십자가 그늘 밑에
   Be-neath the cross of Je-sus
   나 쉬기 원하네
   I fain would take my stand,
   저 햇빛 심히 쬐이고
   The shad-ow of a might-y Rock
   또 짐이 무거워
   With-in a wea-ry land
   이 광야 같은 세상에
   A home with-in the wil-der-ness,
   늘 방활 할 때에
   A rest up-on the way,
   주 십자가의 그늘에
   From the burn-ing of the noon-tide heat,
   내 쉴 곳 찾았네
   And the bur-den of the day.

2. 내 눈을 밝히 떠서
   Up-on the cross of Je-sus
   저 십자가 볼 때
   Mine eye at times can see
   나 위해 고생 당하신
   The ver-y dy-ing form of One
   주 예수 보인다
   Who suf-fered there for me
   그 형상 볼 때 내 맘에
   And from my strick-en heart with tears
   큰 찔림 받아서
   Two won-ders I con-fess,
   그 사랑 감당 못하여
   The won-ders of re-deem-ing love
   물만 흘리네
   And my own worth-less-ness.

3. 십자가 그늘에서
   I take, O cross, thy shad-ow
   나 길이 살겠네
   For my a-bid-ing place
   나 사모하는 광채는
   I ask no oth-er sun-shine than
   주 얼굴뿐이라
   The sun-shine of His face
   이 세상 나를 버려도
   Con-tent to let the world go by,
   나 관계없도다
   To know no gain nor loss
   내 한량없는 영광은
   My sin-ful self my on-ly shame,
   십자가뿐이라 아-멘
   My glo-ry, all the cross. A-men.
