그 참혹한 십자가에
The Precious Blood of Jesus


1. 그 참혹한 십자가에
   The pre-cious blood of Je-sus, shed
   주 달려 흘린 피
   Up-on the cru-el tree,
   샘물 같이 늘 흐르니
   Flows like a foun-tain still, for sins
   죄 많은 형제여
   Oh, friends, for you and me!
   값없어도 다 나와서
   Come with-out price, con-fess your sin,
   네 죄를 고하면
   All peo-ple high or low
   흰 눈보다 더 희도록
   Be by that stream made tru-ly clean,
   참 성결 얻으리
   Made pure, and white as snow!

   That Je-sus died for me,
   흠 없어도 피 흘리사
   That on the cross He shed His blood

2. 그 흉악한 한 강도는
   The dy-ing thief, who came to know
   제 죄를 깨달아
   The black-ness of his guilt,
   죄 없으신 주 예수를
   In faith re-ceived as Sa-viour Him
   구주로 믿었네
   Whose sin-less blood was spilt
   내 지은 죄 흉악하나
   And though my sin be black as night,
   주 예수 믿으면
   The pro-mise still holds true
   용서 받은 강도같이
   If I trust Je-sus as did he,
   곧 용서 받으리
   I'll be for-giv-en too.

   그 십자가 지심으로
   Now by His cross re-deems from loss
   온 인류 구했네
   Each who will seek His face
   저 영원한 새 나라에
   And they shall throng with end-less song
   다 같이 모여서
   Up-on that hap-py shore,
   금거문고 한 곡조로
   With harp of gold and joy un-told,
   새 노래 부르리
   To praise Him ev-er more.
