주 예수 다스리시는
O Holy City, Seen of John


1. 주 예수 다스리시는
   O Ho-ly Cit-y, seen of John,
   저 거룩한 곳은
   Where Christ, the Lamb, doth reign,
   이 땅의 가난과 슬픔
   With-in whose four-square walls shall come
   또 어둠 없는 곳
   No night, nor need, nor pain,
   주께서 나의 눈물을
   And where the tears are wiped from eyes
   다 씻어 주시네
   That shall not weep a-gain!

2. 주 우리 위해 죽으신
   O shame to us who rest con-tent
   그 공로 잊고서
   While lust and greed for gain
   이 세상 물질 좇아서
   In street and shop and ten-e-ment
   나 방황하였네
   Wring gold from hu-man pain,
   내 주를 떠나 살던 몸
   And bitter lips in blind de-spair Cry,
   주 앞에 옵니다
   "Christ hath died in vain!"

3. 나 오랫동안 바라던
   Give us, O God, the strength to build
   저 천국 들어가
   The cit-y that hath stood
   뭇 성도들과 영원히
   Too long a dream, whose laws are love,
   주 찬양하리니
   Whose ways are broth-er-hood,
   저 햇빛보다 밝은 빛
   And where the sun that shin-eth is God's
   내 주의 빛이라
   grace for human good.

4. 내 주님 예비하신 곳
   Al-read-y in the mind of God
   저 영원한 집에
   That cit-y ris-eth fair
   내 일생 동안 힘 다해
   Lo how its splen-dor chal-len-ges
   그 길을 가리니
   The souls that great-ly dare,
   이 후에 내가 들어가
   Yea, bids us seize the whole of life
   큰 영광 누리리 아-멘
   And build its glo-ry there. A-men.
