친애한 이 죽으니
As We Mourn a Dear One Gone


1. 친애한 이 죽으니
   As we mourn a dear one gone,
   우리 눈물 흘리며
   And the tears un-bid-den come,
   슬퍼 머리 숙일 때
   While we bow our heads in grief
   주여 위로하소서
   Com-fort, Lord! Bring sweet re-lief.
   주도 세상 계실 때
   When like us on earth, You knew
   우리 슬픔 아시고
   All our griefs, as still You do.
   눈물 흘리셨으니
   Hav-ing wept like us, we pray,
   주여 위로하소서
   Cheer our hearts in sor-row's day.

2. 주님 앞에 설 때에
   Though we stand be-fore Your face
   우리 부족하여도
   All un-worth-y but for grace,
   주만 믿고 가오니
   Yet re-ceive us as Your own,
   주여 용납하소서
   For our trust is You a-lone.
   주는 죄가 없으나
   You Who, sin-less, bore our sin,
   우리 죄를 지시고
   Shed Your blood our life to win,
   피를 흘리셨으니
   Hav-ing love'd us so, we pray,
   주여 용납하소서
   Take us to Your heart to-day.

3. 죽음 앞에 우리들
   When we faint in face of death,
   마음 심히 아프고
   Sore of heart, of joy be-reft,
   한 숨 쉬며 애쓸 때
   Heal the heav-y-heart-ed sigh,
   주여 위로하소서
   Bless with com-fort from on high.
   주도 육신 입으사
   You knew in your days of flesh,
   인간 괴롬 아시고
   All earth's ills and wretch-ed-ness.
   목숨 버리셨으니
   By that life so freely giv'n, Cheer
   주여 위로하소서
   our hearts with joy of heav-en.
