See the Birds That Fly the Heavens


1. 공중에 나는 새를 보라
   See the birds that fly the hea-vens,
   농사 하지 않으며
   How they nei-ther plow the earth.
   곡식 모아 곳간 안에
   Nor yet gath-er for the store-house
   들인 것이 없어도
   An-y fruits the ground brings forth.
   세상 주관하는 주님
   Yet your Heav'n-ly Fa-ther feeds them
   새를 먹여 주시니
   Then what fu-ture can you dread?
   너희 먹을 것을 위해
   You to Him so much more pre-cious,
   근심할 것 무어냐
   Shall you not like them be fed?

2. 들의 백합화를 보라
   See the li-lies of the mea-dow,
   길쌈 수고 안 해도
   How they nei-ther toil nor spin.
   솔로몬의 입은 옷도
   Yet their rai-ment makes the splen-dor
   이 꽃만 못하였네
   Of King Sol-o-mon seem dim.
   아궁 속에 던질 풀도
   Then shall God not colthe His child-ren,
   귀히 입히시거든
   Whom He loves, for whom He years,
   사랑하는 자녀들을
   If He so be-decks the grass-es
   입히시지 않으랴
   Which the farm-er cuts and burns?

3. 너희들은 세상에서
   Be not an-xious for the fu-ture,
   무엇 먹고 마시며
   What to eat or drink or wear,
   무슨 옷을 입고 살까
   For such fool-ish fears and wor-ries
   염려하지 말아라
   Are th'un-b'live-ing gen-tiles' care.
   이는 이방 사람들이
   But your Heav'n-ly Fa-ther's boun-ty
   간구하는 것이요
   Bears you up on eag-les' wings,
   너희 하늘 아버지는
   And be-fore you ask, your Fa-ther
   너희 쓸 것 아신다
   Knows you need of all these things.

4. 너는 먼저 주의 나라
   Seek you first your Fa-ther's King-dom,
   그의 의를 구하면
   And His right-eous-ness, and do
   하나님이 모든 것을
   Not your will but His, and sure-ly
   너희에게 주시리
   These things shall be add-ed, too.
   내일 일을 위하여서
   Be not an-xious for to-mor-row,
   미리 염려 말지니
   Car-ry no day's bur-dens twice.
   내일 염려 내일 하라
   God has planned that each days's trou-bles
   오늘 고생 족하다
   For their own day shall suf-fice.
