주 예수 대문 밖에
O Jesus, Thou Art Standing


1. 주 예수 대문 밖에
   O Je-sus, Thou art stand-ing
   기다려 섰으나
   Out-side the fast-closed door,
   단단히 잠가 두니
   In low-ly pa-tience wait-ing
   못 들어오시네
   To pass the thresh-old o'er:
   나 주를 믿노라고
   Shame on us, Christian broth-ers,
   그 이름 부르나
   His Name and sign who bear,
   문 밖에 세워 두니
   O shame, thrice shame up-on us,
   참 나의 수치라
   To keep Him stand-ing there!

2. 문 두드리는 손은
   O Je-sus, Thou art knock-ing
   못 박힌 손이요
   And lo! that hand is scarred,
   또 가시 면류관은
   And throns Thy brow en-cir-cle,
   그 이마 둘렸네
   And tears Thy face have marred
   이처럼 기다리심
   O love that pass-eth knowl-edge,
   참사랑이로다
   So pa-tient-ly to wait!
   문 굳게 닫아 두니
   O sin that hath no e-qual,
   한없는 내 죄라
   So fast to bar the gate!

3. 주 예수 간곡하게
   O Je-sus, Thou art plead-ing
   권하는 말씀이
   In ac-cents meek and low,
   네 죄로 죽은 나를
   "I died for you, My chil-dren,
   너 박대 할소냐
   And will ye treat Me so
   나 죄를 회개하고
   O Lord, with shame and sor-row
   곧 문을 엽니다
   We o-pen now the door
   드셔서 좌정하사
   Dear Sav-iour, en-ter, en-ter,
   떠나지 마소서 아-멘
   And leave us nev-er-more! A-men.
