   Must Je-sus bear the cross a-lone,
   우리는 안 질까
   And all the world go free
   뉘게 나 있는 십자가
   No, ther's a cross for ev-'ry-one,
   내게도 있도다
   And there's a cross for me.

2. 내 몫에 태인 십자가
   The con-se-crat-ed cross I'll bear
   늘 지고 가리다
   Till death shall set me free,
   그 면류관을 쓰려고
   And then go home my crown to wear

3. 저 수정 같은 길에서
   Up-on the crys-tal pave-ment, down
   면류관 벗어서
   At Je-sus' pierc-ed feet,
   주 예수 앞에 바치며
   Joy-ful, I'll cast my gold-en crown,
   늘 찬송하겠네
   And His dear name re-peat.

4. 뭇 천사 소리 높여서
   And palms shall wave and harps shall ring
   늘 찬송할 때에
   Be-neath heav'n's arch-es high!
   그 좋은 노래 곡조가
   The Lord Who lives the ran-som'd sing,
   참 아름답도다
   Who lives no more to die.

5. 군 면류관도 귀하고
   oh, glor-ious crown!
   부활도 귀하다
   Oh, re-sur-rec-tion day!
   저 천사 내려보내사
   Ye an-gels, from the stars come down,
   날 영접합소서 아-멘
   And bear my soul a-way. A-men.
