십자가를 내가 지고
Jesus, I My Cross Have Taken


1. 십자가를 내가 지고
   Je-sus, I my cross have tak-en,
   주를 따라가도다
   All to leave, and flo-low Thee
   이제부터 예수로만
   Des-ti-tute, de-spised,for-sak-en,
   나의 보배 삼겠네
   Thou, from hence, my all shalt be.
   세상에서 부귀영화
   Per-ish eve-ry fond am-bi-tion,
   모두 잃어버려도
   All I've sought, and hoped, or known
   주의 평안 내가 받고
   Yet how rich is my con-do-tion,
   영생 복을 받겠네
   God and heaven are still my own.

2. 주도 곤욕 당했으니
   Let the world de-spise sand leave me,
   나도 곤욕 당하리
   Sav-iour, too
   세상 친구 간사하되
   Hu-man hearts and look de-ceive me,
   예수 진실하도다
   Thou art not, like man, un-true
   예수 나를 사랑하사
   And, while Thou shalt smile up-on me,
   빛난 얼굴 뵈시면
   God of wis-dom, love, and, might,
   원수들이 미워하나
   Foes may hate, and friends may shun me:
   염려할 것 없도다
   Show Thy face, and all is bright.

3. 내가 핍박 당할 때에
   Man may trou-ble and dis-tess me,
   주의 품에 안기고
   'Twill but drive me to Thy brast
   세상고초 당할수록
   Life with tri-als hard may press me,
   많은 위로 받겠네
   Heav'n will bring me sweet-er rest
   주가 주신 기쁨 외에
   O 'tis not in grief to harm me
   기뻐할 것 무어냐
   While Thy love is left to me
   주가 나를 사랑하니
   O 'twere not in joy to charm me:
   기뻐할 것 뿐일세 아-멘
   Where that joy un-mixed with Thee. A-men.
