   네 직분 지켜서
   Work through the morn-ing hours
   찬이슬 맺힐 때에
   Work while the dew is spark-ling
   즉시 일어나
   Work 'mid spring-ing flowers
   해 돋는 아침부터
   Work while the day grows bright-er,
   힘써서 일하라
   Un-der the glow-ing sun
   일할 수 없는 밤이
   Work, for the night is com-ing,
   속히 오리라
   When man's work is done.

2. 어둔 밤 쉬 되리니
   Work, for the night is com-ing:
   네 직분 지켜서
   Work through the sun-ny noon
   일할 때 일하면서
   Fill bright-est hours with la-bour,
   놀지 말아라
   Rest comes sure and soon
   낮에는 골몰하나
   Give ev-'ry fly-ing min-ute
   쉴 때도 오겠네
   Some-thing to keep in store
   일할 수 없는 밤이
   Work, for the night is com-ing,
   속히 오리라
   When man works no more.

   Un-der the sun-set skies,
   지는 해 비낀 볕에
   While their bright tints are glow-ing,
   힘써 일하고
   Work, for day-light flies
   그 빛이 다하여서
   Work till the last beam fad-eth,
   어둡게 되어도
   Fad-eth to shine no more
   할 수만 있는 대로
   Work while the night is dark'-ning,
   힘써 일하라
   When man's work is o'er.
