1. 환난과 핍박 중에도 성도는 신앙 지켰네
Faith of our fathers, living still, In spite of dungeon, fire and sword;
이 신앙 생각할 때에 기쁨이 충만하도다
O how our hearts beat high with joy Whenever we hear that glorious Word!
성도의 신앙 따라서
Faith of our fathers, holy faith!
죽도록 충성하겠네
We will be true to thee till death.
2. 옥중에 매인 성도나 양심은 자유 얻었네
Our fathers chain'd in prisons dark where still in heart and
우리도 고난 받으면 죽어도 영광되도다
conscience free And blest would be their children's fate If they like them should die for thee
성도의 신앙 따라서
Faith of our fathers, holy faith!
죽도록 충성하겠네
We will be true to thee till death.
3. 성도의 신앙 본받아
Faith of our fathers, we will love Both friend and foe in all our strife;
원수도 사랑하겠네
And preach Thee, too, as love knows how
인자한 언어 행실로 이 신앙 전파 하리라
By kindly words and virtuous life.
