Am I a Soldier of the Cross


1. 십자가 군병 되어서
   Am I a sol-dier of the cross,
   예수를 좇을 때
   A fol-l'wer of the Lamb
   무서워하는 맘으로
   And I shall I fear to own His cause,
   주 모른체할까
   Or blush to speak His name
   나의 주 그리스도
   In the name of Christ the king,
   나를 속량했으니
   who hath pur-chas'd life for me
   나 십자가를 벗은 후
   Through grace I'll wear the prom-is'd crown,
   저 면류관 쓰리
   what-e'er my cross may be!

2. 뭇 성도 피를 흘리며
   Must I be car-ried to the skies.
   큰 싸움하는데
   On flow-'ry beds of ease,
   나 어찌 편히 누워서
   While oth-ers fought to win the prize,
   상 받기 바랄까
   And sail'd through blood-y seas
   나의 주 그리스도
   In the name of Christ the king,
   나를 속량했으니
   who hath pur-chas'd life for me
   나 십자가를 벗은 후
   Through grace I'll wear the prom-is'd crown,
   저 면류관 쓰리
   what-e'er my cross may be!

3. 이 죄악 많은 세상에
   Are there no foes for me to face
   수많은 원수들
   Must I not stem the flood
   날 유혹하고 해치나
   Is this vile world a friend to grace,
   내 주만 따르리
   To help me on to God
   나의 주 그리스도
   In the name of Christ the king,
   나를 속량했으니

4. 나 면류관을 쓰려고
   Sure I must fight if I would reign.
   몸 바쳐 싸울 때
   In-crease my cour-age, Lord.
   주 내게 용기 주시사
   I'll bear the toil, en-dure the pain,
   이기게 하소서
   Sup-port-ed by Thy word.
   나의 주 그리스도
   In the name of Christ the king,
   나를 속량했으니
   who hath pur-chas'd life for me
   나 십자가를 벗은 후

5. 승리의 그 날 이르러
   When that il-lus-trious day shall rise,
   십자가 군병들
   And all Thine ar-mies shine
   개가를 불러 영광을
   In robes of vic-t'ry through the skies,
   주님께 돌리리
   The glo-ry shall be Thine.
   나의 주 그리스도
