시험 받을 때에
In the Hour of Trial


1. 시험 받을 때에 나를 도우사
   In the hour of tri-al, Je-sus, plead for me
   주를 멀리 떠나가게 맙소서
   Lest by base de-ni-al I de-part from Thee
   떨며 주저할 때 나를 붙드사
   When Thou seest me wa-ver, With a look re-call,
   넘어지지 않게 지켜줍소서
   Nor for fear or fa-vor Suf-fer me to fall.

2. 세상 부귀영화 나를 얽매고
   With its witch-ing pleas-ures Would this vain world charm,
   세상 헛된 재물 유혹할 때에
   Or its sor-did treas-ures Spread to work me harm,
   겟세마네 피땀 생각게하사
   Bring to my re-mem-brance Sad Geth-sem-a-ne,
   십자가의 주를 보게합소서
   Or, in dark-er sem-blance, Cross-crowned Cal-va-ry.

3. 주의 자비하심 내게 임하사
   If with sore af-flic-tion Thou in love chas-tise,
   근심걱정 고통 내가 당할 때
   Pour Thy ben-e-dic-tion On the sac-ri-fice
   주의 능한 손을 보게 하시며
   Then, up-on Thine al-tar Free-ly of-fered up,
   주여 나의 근심 맡아줍소서
   Though the flesh may fal-ter, Faith shall drink the cup.

4. 이 땅 위의 삶을 모두 마치고
   When my last hour com-eth, Fraught with strife and pain,
   흙과 같은 육신 무너질 때에
   When my dust re-turn-eth To the dust a-gain
   오직 주의 은혜 의지하리니
   On Thy truth re-ly-ing, Through that mor-tal strife,
   영생하는 곳에 인도합소서 아-멘
   Je-sus, take me, dy-ing, To e-ter-nal life. A-men.
