O Jesus, I Have Promised


1. 이 세상 끝날까지
   O Je-sus, I have prom-ised
   주 봉사하리니
   To serve Thee to the end
   내 친구되신 주여
   Be Thou for-ev-er near me,
   늘 함께 하소서
   My Mas-ter and my Friend:
   주 나와 함께하면
   I shall not fear the bat-tle
   전쟁도 겁 없고
   If Thou art by my side,
   주 나를 인도하면
   Nor wan-der from the path-way
   늘 안심하리라
   If Thou wilt be my Guide.

2. 나 주를 따를 때에
   O Je-sus, while I follow
   주 약속하신 것
   Ac-cord-ing to Thy word
   그 영광 중에 모두
   Ful-fill each precious prom-ise
   이루어 주소서
   In glo-ry as I've heard
   주님의 뒤를 따라
   And still I'll fol-low after,
   섬기며 살리니
   To serve Thee all my day
   그 크신 은혜 속에
   If Thou, in grace a-bound-ing
   날 인도하소서
   But lead me in the way.

3. 이 세상 온갖 시험
   O let me feel Thee near me,
   내 맘을 흔들고
   The world is ev-er near
   저 악한 원수들이
   I see the sights that daz-zle,
   안팎에 있으나
   The tempt-ing sounds I hear
   주 나를 돌아보사
   My foes are ev-er near me,
   내 방패 되시고
   A-round me and with-in
   내 옆에 계신 것을
   But, Je-sus, draw Thou near-er,
   늘 알게 하소서
   And shield my soul from sin.

4. 저 영광 빛난 곳을
   O Je-sus, Thou has prom-ised
   주 허락했으니
   To all who fol-low Thee,
   그 허락하신 곳을
   That where Thou art in glo-ry
   늘 사모합니다
   There shalt Thy serv-ant be
   끝까지 쉬지 않고
   And, Je-sus, I have prom-ised
   주 따라가리니
   To serve Thee to the end
   주 넓은 사랑 안에
   O, give me grace to fol-low,
   늘 인도하소서 아-멘
   My Mas-ter and my Friend, A-men.
