세월이 흘러가는데
My Days are Gliding Swiftly By


1. 세월이 흘러가는데
   My days are glid-ing swift-ly by,
   이 나그네 된 나는
   And I a pil-grim stran-ger,
   괴로운 세월 가는 것
   Would not de-tain them, as they fly,
   금할 길 아주 없네
   These hours of toil and dan-ger
   요단강 가에 섰는데
   For now we stand on Jor-dan's strand
   내 친구 건너가네
   Our friends are pass-ing o-ver
   저 건너편에 빛난 곳
   And, just be-fore, the shin-ing shore
   내 눈에 희미하다
   We may al-most dis-cov-er.

2. 저 뵈는 하늘 집으로
   Our ab-sent King the watch-word gave,
   띠 띠고 어서 가세
   "Let ev-'ry lamp be burn-ing,"
   주 계실 때에 하신 말
   We look afar across the wave,
   등 예비 하라셨네
   Our dis-tant home dis-cern-ing.
   요단강 가에 섰는데
   For now we stand on Jor-dan's strand
   내 친구 건너가네
   Our friends are pass-ing o-ver
   저 건너편에 빛난 곳
   And, just be-fore, the shin-ing shore
   내 눈에 희미하다
   We may al-most dis-cov-er.

3. 어두운 그날 닥쳐도
   Should coming days be dark and cold,
   찬송을 쉬지 마세
   We will not yield to sor-row,
   금거문고를 타면서
   For hope will sing with cour-age bold
   나 안식 누리겠네
   "There's glo-ry on the mor-row."
   요단강 가에 섰는데

4. 큰 풍파 일어나는 것
   let storms of woe in whirl-winds rise,
   세상 줄 끊음 일세
   Each cord on earth to sever,
   주께서 오라 하시면
   There, bright and joy-ous in the skies,
   내 고향 찾아가리
   There, is our home for-ever.
