하나님의 은혜에 감사드립니다. 온 세상에 구원의 기쁜 소식을 전파하시려고 우리 주님 오셨습니다. 저희들에게는 소망이며, 기쁨입니다. 이 놀라운 은혜에 참여하게 해 주신 하나님께 감사와 찬송을 드립니다. 온 세계가 주님을 찬양하며, 주님 앞에 경배드립니다. 오늘 예배를 받아 주시고, 주님의 은혜를 누리게 하옵소서. 마음이 슬픈 사람들, 병으로 신음하는 사람들, 구원의 기쁨을 사모하는 사람들, 이 모든 사람들에게 주님의 은혜를 허락하옵소서. 예수님 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

The Day Jesus Was Born
마태복음 Matthew 2:1-12
1. 예수님의 오심은 우리의 소망입니다. Jesus came to us. This is ultimate hope of us.
예수님께서 태어나신 날은 지금부터 약 2천년 전입니다. 그렇지만, 그 날의 의미는 지나간 것이 아닙니다. 지난 2천년 동안 인류에게 소망이 되어온 것처럼, 오늘 우리에게도 소망입니다. 앞으로 우리 자녀들 세대에게도 소망이 될 것입니다. 영원무궁히 인류에게 소망이 될 것입니다.
It has passed two thousands years since the day when Jesus was born. But the meaning of the day has not been gone away. The day has been the hope for the previous two thousands years. It also is the hope today, and tomorrow of the following generations.
인간이 혼자 할 수 없던 절망을 주님께서 해결해 주십니다. 죄 문제는 근본적 절망입니다. 사람들은 죄를 가볍게 여길지 모릅니다. 그러나, 죄가 인생의 궁극적 짐입니다. 죄가 아니라면, 그 문제는 이길 수 있습니다. 길이 있다는 말입니다. 그러므로 절망할 이유는 없습니다. 문제는 죄입니다. 그 죄를 주님께서 해결해 주셨습니다. 주님의 보혈로써!!
Man cannot live by himself, but Jesus saves. Ultimate problem is coming from sin. People might ignore the power of sin. But sin is the ultimate burden for people. If not of sin, the problem can be overcome; there is a way. Therefore, there is no reason for us to be disappointed. With the power of his precisous blood, Jesus saved from the sin.
소망 없는 세상은 살아갈 가치가 없습니다. 소망이 있다면, 아무리 힘들어도 견뎌낼 이유가 있습니다. 예수님께서는 우리 삶의 이유가 되십니다.
There is no reason to live the world without hope. With hope, however, we get the reason to overcome troubles. Jesus is the reason to live with.
2. 예수님은 가장 귀한 선물입니다. Jesus is the most precious present.
예수님은 임마누엘입니다. 임마누엘은 "'하나님께서 우리와 함께 계시다"는 뜻입니다.
임마누엘은 우리에게 있어서 가장 귀한 선물입니다. 어떤 선물도 '함께 있음'을 대체할 수 없습니다.
Jesus was born as Immamuel, which means "God is with us." Immanuel is the most precious present. Any other things cannot substitute it.
누구에게 선물 할까요? 모든 사람에게 할 수 없습니다. 함께 있고 싶은 사람, 함께 있어도 부담되지 않는 사람입니다.
함께 있어서 부담되는 사람에게서 받은 선물은 부담됩니다. 왜냐하면 그건 '뇌물성'이기 때문입니다.
To whom shall we give presents? We cannot give to all. Present is to given to those whom we want to be with.
gift와 present 두 종류의 선물이 있습니다. 전자는 '주는 것'이고 후자는 '함께 있음'입니다. 당연히 후자가 귀한 선물입니다.
Two kinds of present: gift and present. The forer is to give; the latter is to be with. The latter is, of course, the most precious one.
예수님의 이름, 임마누엘은 바로 후자입니다.
예수님께서는 영원히 우리와 함께할 분이십니다.
The name of Jesus, Immanuel, it is the present. Jesus was and is with us today, and is to be for ever.
예수님께서 우리와 함께 계시다는 것은 가장 큰 선물입니다.
Immanuel is the best present for us.
3. 주님께서 오신 것은 죄를 사해주시기 위함입니다. Jesus came to save us from sin.
예수님 없이 우리 죄는 그대로 있습니다.
죄의 사슬이 그대로 있습니다.
죄의 방식을 그대로 행할 수밖에 없습니다.
자유가 없습니다.
Without Jesus, sin remains as it was. We cannot but do according the character of sin. We do not have freedom.
그러나 예수님께서 오셔서 우리 죄 문제를 해결해 주셨습니다.
But Jesus came, and he saved us from the sin.
죄 사함 받은 우리는 '더 바랄 것'이 없습니다. 이제는 이대로가 좋습니다.
무슨 일을 해도 감사합니다.
누구와 만나도 주님의 사랑을 전할 수 있습니다.
Forgiven people, we do not want anything more. We can enjoy the lives today. We give thanks to God in all circumstances. We can deliver the love of the Lord to anyone.
4. 예수님을 '나의 구주'로 영접하시기 바랍니다. I ask each of you to accept Jesus as your own Savior.
신앙의 변두리에 머물지 마십시오. 예수님과 동행하는 삶을 살아가십시오.
예수님이 여러분의 구주가 되셨다면 여러분은 신앙의 중심에 섰습니다.
생동하는 은혜가 여러분에게 있습니다.
Do not remain outside of the faith. Live with Jesus Christ. Having Jesus as your Savior, you are in the center of faith. You are with the living grace.
5. 기다리던 예수님께서 오셨는데, 유대 땅은 소란했습니다. Jesus came; but Judaeans were surprised.
정말 기다린 것이 아니었기 때문이었습니다.
차라리 동방에서 별을 보던 사람들이 주님을 만나뵈었습니다.
Because the Judaeans did not wait for Jesus Christ. Instead, the wise men from the East met Jesus.
우리는 정말 예수님을 기다립니까?
우리는 예수님이 필요한 삶을 살고 있습니까?
예수님께서만 하실 수 있는 일들을 붙들고 살아갑니까?
Are we really waiting for Jesus? Are we living the lives that need Jesus? Are we doing that only Jesus could help us?
대개의 경우, 예수님께서만 해결하실 수 있는 일은 치워놓습니다. 쉬운 것만 하려고 합니다. 그런 인간관계만 엮어갑니다.
Many people take easy things. They are not willing to get what Jesus helps. They make friends who could be 'helps' for those matters.
그러나, 피한다고 문제가 사라지는 것은 아닙니다.
예수님을 기다려야 합니다. 함께 기도할 사람을 인간관계 속에서 만나야 합니다.
We need to wait for Jesus. We need to wait for people in prayer.
예수님을 기다리지 않는 사람들은 '두려움' 속에 살아갑니다.
예수님이 두렵습니다. 세상이 두렵습니다.
People who do not need Jesus live the world with fear. They fear Jesus; they fear the world.
예수님의 가치로 살아가지 않고, 자기 가치로 삽니다. 기도 없이 자기 결정을 따라 살아가기 때문입니다.
Because they attempt to live according their own value rather than that of Jesus. They decide without prayer.
예수님께서 오시면, 하나님 나라가 임할 것입니다.
그 나라는 예수님이 통치하시는 나라입니다.
우리는 그 나라의 소망이 있습니다.
When Jesus comes again, the Kingdom of God will be upon us. Jesus rules. We have hope for the Kingdom.
6. 이 시대에 그리스도인으로 살아간다는 것은 무슨 뜻입니까? What is the meaning of living as Christians today?
경제와 정치 문제를 넘어서는 참된 가치를 회복하는 것입니다.
예수님 가치 말입니다.
예수님 가치로써, 예수님의 향기를 내는 삶을 위해 오늘 우리는 부르심 받았습니다.
It is to recover the true value beyond the borderline of economy and politics. With the value of Jesus, we have been called to deliver the Good News.
경제가치를 넘어서는 진정한 가치를 소유했습니까?
그렇다면, 부자가 되어도 걱정이 없겠습니다.
이런 사람에게 부는 선물입니다.
그로써 하나님의 일을 할 수 있기 때문입니다.
Have you the true value beyond the economy? If so, wealth cannot be any hindrance in the walk of faith. God may bless you with economic success so that you can serve God and people in Jesus' name.
새해에는 주님 안에서 여러분의 모든 분야에서 성공하시기를 빕니다. 주님의 일 많이 할 수 있기를 빕니다.
In 2006, may God richly bless you so that you be successful in all the areas.
나는 여러분에게 주님의 임마누엘의 선물이 늘 함께하시기를 축복합니다. 아멘.
May God the Immanuel bless you today and forever. Amen.
기도 Prayer
임마누엘의 주님. 감사드립니다. 날마다 우리와 함께 계셔서, 이 세상의 참된 소망의 빛으로 살아가게 축복하옵소서. 예수님 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘. O God of Immanuel, we thank you. Be with us always. Bless us to live as the light of the world. In Jesus' name, Amen. (조은석 목사)
