사랑하는 성도 여러분. 주님은 좋으신 하나님이십니다. 놀라운 은혜를 주시고, 새 날을 마련해 주신 은혜를 감사합니다. 이제 감사의 예배를 주님 앞에 드리겠습니다. 자리에서 일어나셔서 묵상기도 드리겠습니다.

사랑하는 하나님. 새 날을 주셨습니다. 감사합니다. 저희들의 모든 죄를 용서해 주시고 새 날을 맞이할 수 있게 하셨으니 감사합니다. 주님께서는 저희들 하나하나에 좋으신 계획을 가지고 계신데, 그것을 알지 못하고 불평만 하고 살아온 죄를 용서하옵소서. 모든 좋은 것을 주실 주님께서, 저희들의 ‘거룩함’을 요구하십니다. 주여, 저희들을 말씀으로 거룩하게 하옵소서. 오늘 예배를 주님께 드립니다. 모든 영광 주님 홀로 받으시옵소서. 주 예수님의 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.
Loving Father God. We thank you for giving new year. We thank you for forgiving our sins and giving us this new year. Forgive our sins not to recognize your plans for good things but to complain against you. We understand you ask our holiness. O Jesus, purify us with your Words. Today, we worship you with Truth and Spirit. May your name be glorified. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Give Thanks to God for the New Year
이사야 Isaiah 43:18-21
너희는 이전 일을 기억하지 말며, 옛적 일을 생각하지 말라. 보라 내가 새 일을 행하리니, 이제 나타낼 것이라. 너희가 그것을 알지 못하겠느냐? 정녕히 내가 광야에 길과 사막에 강을 내리니, 장차 들짐승 곧 시랑과 및 타조도 나를 존경할 것은, 내가 광야에 물들을, 사막에 강들을 내어 내 백성, 나의 택한 자로 마시게 할 것임이라. 이 백성은 내가 나를 위하여 지었나니, 나의 찬송을 부르게 하려 함이니라.
Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland. The wild animals honor me, the jackals and the owls, because I provide water in the desert and streams in the wasteland, to give drink to my people, my chosen, the people I formed for myself that they may proclaim my praise.
우리를 살아있게 하신 아버지 하나님께 감사와 찬송을 드립니다. 좋으신 하나님 아버지께서 새해에 우리에게 좋은 것을 선물하실 줄 믿습니다. 아멘.
We give thanks to God who gave us life. The good Father God will give us good things to us this new year. Amen.
오늘 설교는 “소망-용서-감사” 라는 삼박자 메시지입니다.
Today's message is threefold: hope-forgiveness-gratitude.
이스라엘은 새로운 소망을 품었습니다. 파괴된 예루살렘이 회복될 것입니다. 죽은 민족이 살아날 것입니다. 오늘 이사야는 이 메시지를 이스라엘에게 선포했습니다. 하나님의 말씀은 능력이 있습니다. 이제 그 소망은 싹을 내고 꽃을 피웠습니다. 이제 열매가 맺힐 것입니다.
그 새로운 소망은 “생명의 소망”입니다.
Israel had new hope. The destroyed Jerusalem will be restored. The dead people will be revived. Israel proclaimed the message. God's word has power. The hope produced flower and grain. The new hope is the hope of life.
포로들에게 메시지를 전하던 이사야 선지자는, 그들에게 새로운 소망이 시작되었음을 선포했습니다. “하나님께서 새 일을 행하신다!”는 것입니다.
Isaiah proclaimed new hop started: "God does make a new thing!"
소망은 “이스라엘의 선택”으로 주어지지 않았습니다. 하나님의 결정이었습니다. 그래서 그것은 “피할 수 없는 사건”이었습니다. Hope was not given as a choice of Israel. God chose. Therefore, hope was not an escapable event.
소망은 우리의 선택이 아닙니다. 하나님의 선택입니다.
Hope is not our choice. Hope came from God.
소망은 “용서받음”에서 났습니다. 죄가 그대로 있다면 소망이 없습니다. ‘혼날 일’만 남았는데 무엇이 더 기다려지겠습니까?
Hope comes from forgiveness. With sins not forgiven, there is no hope. Expecting the day of punishment, how can anyone wait for anything?
하나님께서는 이스라엘의 죄를 용서해 주셨습니다. 하나님을 버리고 이방신을 섬기던 행위, 가난한 사람을 착취하던 행위, 그런 모든 죄를 용서해 주셨습니다. 포로 생활하던 이스라엘의 소망은 바로 이 용서에서 비롯되었습니다.
God forgave the sins of Israel. God forgave the sins of Israel's betrayal of God and oppression of their fellow people. The hope given to the exiled Israel was based on this forgiveness.
용서는 “불쌍히 여김”에서 나옵니다. 인간은 아무리 보아도 불쌍한 존재 아닙니까? 그렇다면 용서 못할 이유가 없습니다.
Forgiveness comes from compassion. Humans are but miserable beings. There is no sins that cannot get forgiveness.
훌륭한 설교로 유명한 이동원 목사님 이야기입니다. 그의 사모님은 참 넉넉하고 관용이 많습니다. 한 번도 남을 비판하거나 욕하는 소리를 들어본 적이 없다고 했습니다. 하루는 물었습니다. “당신은 어떻게 남에 대해 흉보거나 하지 않소? 싫은 사람이 하나도 없나 봐요?” “왜 저라고 미운 사람이 없겠어요. 저도 사람인데요. 그러나 싫은 사람이 생기면 먼저 그를 불쌍히 여겨달라고 하나님께 기도합니다. 그러면 용서할 마음이 생겨요.”
A good preacher, Rev. Dong W. Lee, shared his own story. His wife was so very generous that she did not speak ill of anyone. One day, the preacher asked: "Honey, you might not have any enemy." "As you know," she answered, "I am but a human being, too. With an enemy, I pray to God that he might have compassion on him. And God gives me the heart of forgiveness."
어느 날, 집에 돌아와 보니, 사모님이 울면서 기도하고 있었습니다. “하나님, 그 인간을 불쌍히 여겨 주시옵소서!” 지난번 나눈 대화가 생각났습니다. 그래서 ‘누구를 위해 기도할까?’ 하고 살며시 다가가서 기도소리를 엿들었습니다.
One day, as he come back home, he heard his wife was praying with tears. "O God, have mercy on the person!" He remembered the previous dialogue. "For whom is she praying?" He approached and heard the prayer.
“하나님, 제 남편을 불쌍히 여겨 주시옵소서!”
“O God, have mercy on my husband!"
바로 그 순간 “아이고, 하나님 참 감사합니다!” 그랬다는 것입니다. 사실, 이 말은 내가 붙인 것입니다.
At the very moment, he said, "O God, I thank you very much!" Actually, this last comment is added by me.
이제 감사로 건너가겠습니다.
Now we are at the stage of gratitude.
소망 품은 사람은 감사합니다. ‘미리 감사’하는 것입니다. 내일을 감사하는 것입니다. 이런 사람은 옛날 것을 그대로 가지고 가지 않습니다. 용서로 풀어버리는 것입니다.
The man with hope gives thanks. He gives thanks in advance. He does not bring the past to the future. He disconnects the past by forgiving the people.
용서받은 사람이 감사합니다. 죄의 짐에서 벗어났기 때문입니다.
He who is forgiven gives thanks to God. Because he is out of the bondage of sins.
감사는 우리의 판단에서 나지 않습니다. 그것은 하나님의 판단입니다. 아, ‘감사’가 ‘하나님의 명령’으로 주어진 것이 얼마나 감사한지요! “감사하고 싶으면 해라”가 아니라, “감사해라!”입니다. ‘좋을 때 감사하라’가 아니라 “범사에 감사하라!”입니다. 타협의 여지가 없습니다. 다른 무엇을 궁리할 이유가 없습니다. 그냥 감사해야 합니다!! 쭈그려 앉았다가도 일어나야 합니다. 그리고 소리 높여 찬양해야 합니다. 선택사항이 아니라, 명령입니다. 이것이 오늘 우리에게 소망입니다.
Gratitude does not come from our judgment; it comes from God. What a great gratitude that it comes to us as a commandment! Gratitude is not conditional; we must give thanks to God. It does not depend on situations; we must give thanks in all circumstances. There is no point of compromise. We don't have to worry any other things. Just give thanks to God! We need to stand up and praise the Lord. It is not an option but commandment. This is the very hope we have now!
“감사할래?” 묻지 않으십니다. 그렇게 물으셨다면 머리가 복잡해졌을 것입니다. 자녀가 대학교 입학을 해도 감사보다는 걱정이 앞섭니다. 입학금 문제, 헤어져야 하는 문제, 그런 저런 것은 다 걱정입니다. 감사를 해소시켜 버립니다. 그러나 “감사해야” 합니다. 이건 명령입니다.
God does not ask us, "Will you give thanks for this?" If asked that, we might have been confused, thinking of following conditions. With acceptance to a good college, you might be worried about another issues, like tuition, driving, separation, etc.; all would resolve the thanks. We must give thanks; this is a commandment.
불행한 일을 만났을 때도, 우리는 감사해야 합니다. 그 불행한 일로 인하여 기도하게 되고, 주님을 더 깊이 만나게 될 것이기 때문입니다. 그러므로 “무조건” 감사해야 합니다.
In time of getting misfortune, we must give thanks to God. Because of the misfortune, we are to pray and have deeper meeting with God. Therefore, we must give thanks in all circumstances.
2006년은 새로운 날입니다. 달력만 새것이 아닙니다. 삶이 새롭습니다. 새로운 것을 기대하는 날입니다.
The year 2006 is new. Not only calendar is new, but life. We expect new things this year.
감사해야 할 해입니다. 이전과 다르게 살아야겠습니다. 그것은 “덮어놓고 감사”하는 해로 만들어야 하겠습니다. 다짐합시다. 결심합시다. 하나님의 말씀대로 살기로. 말씀을 믿고 ‘무조건 감사하기로’ 마음을 크게 먹읍시다.
This year we need to give thanks. We are to different. We had better make this year the time of gratitude in all circumstances. Let's make a decision to live according to the Word of God, and to give thanks unconditionally.
금문교회의 2006년은 새롭습니다. 지나간 12년은 은혜 위에 은혜였습니다. 부족하지만, 소망 가운데 살았습니다. 조금씩이나마 성장해왔습니다. 오늘 우리의 모습은 비록 크지 않을지라도 이것은 성장한 것입니다. 눈에 보이지 않게 성장했습니다.
2006 is new for GGKPC. Last 12 years have been gracious. We have grown up steadily.
이제 다가온 새해, 2006년도에 우리는 “감사”를 예상합니다. 이 “예측”은 틀리지 않을 것이 분명합니다.
In the year 2006, we expect "gratitude" in all circumstances. This expectation will not be wrong.
우리는 내일을 모릅니다. 어떤 일이 일어날지 예상할 수 없습니다. 그러나 확실한 것은 그 어떤 경우라도 “하나님께 감사할 일” 이라는 것입니다.
We do not know about tomorrow. We cannot preview what would happen. But one things is very clear: anything would occur, it would be something we are to give thanks to God.
미리 감사합시다.
생명 주셨으니 감사합니다.
2006년을 미리 감사합니다.
Let us give thanks to God in advance. We thank God for giving us life. Let us give thanks to God for the year of 2006.
어려운 일을 만나겠지요. 그러나 그것도 미리 감사합니다. 어려움 모르고 살면 감사도 모릅니다. 참 감사를 알 수 있도록 하나님께서는 적당한 어려움도 주실 것입니다. 그러나 ‘감당’할 수 없는 것은 주시지 않을 것을 믿습니다. 감당할 시련이라면, 그것은 훈련입니다. 좋은 군사는 좋은 훈련을 받은 사람들입니다.
We may meet hardships. But, even about the coming troubles, we give thanks to God in advance.
똑같은 사람이라도 좋은 훈련을 거치면 그는 훌륭한 일을 해낼 수 있습니다. 그런 은혜와 사랑이 넘쳐납니다. 이런 의미에서, 우리는 살아계신 하나님 아버지께서 좋은 훈련을 마련해 놓으신 것을 믿습니다.
With better training, a man can do better. Grace and love overflow. In this sense, we believe that the living Father God provided good training for us.
2006년은 ‘기회’입니다. 이 기회를 주신 것은 하나님이십니다. 하나님께서 주신 것을 하나님을 위해 써야 합니다.
The year 2006 is a chance. God gave us this chance. We need to use this chance for God.
미국의 어떤 상원의원은 대통령 후보였습니다. 그러나 그는 하나님을 모르는 사람이었습니다. 어떤 크리스찬이 있었습니다. 기도하는 중에 “가서 오늘 그에게 복음을 전하라!”는 말씀을 들었습니다. 상원의원실로 갔습니다. 그러나 면회가 불가능했습니다.
A senator was a candidate for presidency. He did not believe in God. A certain Christian heard God in his prayer: "Go and speak about the gospel." He visited the senator, but refused to have a meeting with him.
문 앞에 기다렸다가 “5분만” 면회를 요청했습니다. 그러나 거절당했습니다. 쫓아가면서 말 했습니다: “저는 기도하는 사람입니다. 하나님께서 당신에게 복음을 전하라고 하셨습니다. 한님께 5분만 드리십시오.” 그 상원의원은 손을 뿌리쳤습니다. “내게 그런 5분이 있다면 참 좋겠소. 난 너무 바쁩니다.”
Having waited outside of the door, he asked a five-minute interview, but was rejected. Following him, he said, "I am a man of prayer. God commanded me to deliver the gospel to you. Give five minutes to God, please!" The senator objected, "I would be happy to have an extra five minutes! I am too busy!"
그렇지만 그 크리스찬은 그 상원의원을 따라갔습니다. 시청 건물 안으로 들어갔는데, 실내 분수대 뒤쪽에서 괴한이 나타나 총을 쏘았습니다. 그 자리에서 상원의원은 암살되었습니다.
The Christian, however, followed him, asking for time. Having entered a building, a certain person appeared and assassinated him.
만일 그가 하나님께 5분을 드렸더라면 그는 살았을 것입니다. 하나님께 드리지 않은 그 5분이 그를 죽음으로 몰고 갔습니다.
If he gave the five minutes, he might have been survived. The five minutes not given to God drove him to death.
우리는 “Stop!” 시켜야 할 사람들이 있습니다. 그 사람들이 십자가의 복음을 듣고 살아야 합니다. 우리는 2006년을 “전도”의 기회로 받았습니다.
We have some people that we must stop them. They are to be heard about Jesus Christ, our Savior. We have had 2006 as a chance for delivering the good news.
하나님께서 주신 기회를 육신의 기회로 바꾸지 마시기 바랍니다. 전도의 사명을 감당합시다. 2006년에 하나님께서 금문교회를 위해 어떤 일을 이루실지 우리는 모릅니다. 그러나 분명한 것은, 하나님께서는 좋은 일을 마련해 놓으셨다는 것입니다. 아름다운 일을 이루실 것입니다. 믿으면 됩니다. 믿으면 우리는 하나님의 손에 사용될 것입니다. 하나님께서 우리에게 “힘”을 주실 것입니다. 아멘.
Don't change the precious divine chance into bodily one. Evangelize people. We do not know what would God do for GGKPC in 2006. What is sure, however, is God prepared good things for GGKPC. He will make a good thing for us. Let us believe in him. If believed, we will be used by the hands of God. God will give us power to do all the missions. Amen.

은혜로우신 아버지 하나님. 새로운 날을 주셨으니 감사드립니다. 기쁨으로 살아가게 하옵소서. 새해에는 우리에게 ‘부흥’을 허락하옵소서. 지경을 넓히게 하옵소서. 주 예수님 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.
Gracious Father God. We thank you for this new year. Make us live with joy. Give us growth in the new year. Broaden our territory. Give us happiness at home. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Gratitude does not come from our judgment; it comes from God. What a great gratitude that it comes to us as a commandment! Gratitude is not conditional; we must give thanks to God. It does not depend on situations; we must give thanks in all circumstances. There is no point of compromise. We don't have to worry any other things. Just give thanks to God! We need to stand up and praise the Lord. It is not an option but commandment. This is the very hope we have now!
“감사할래?” 묻지 않으십니다. 그렇게 물으셨다면 머리가 복잡해졌을 것입니다. 자녀가 대학교 입학을 해도 감사보다는 걱정이 앞섭니다. 입학금 문제, 헤어져야 하는 문제, 그런 저런 것은 다 걱정입니다. 감사를 해소시켜 버립니다. 그러나 “감사해야” 합니다. 이건 명령입니다.
God does not ask us, "Will you give thanks for this?" If asked that, we might have been confused, thinking of following conditions. With acceptance to a good college, you might be worried about another issues, like tuition, driving, separation, etc.; all would resolve the thanks. We must give thanks; this is a commandment.
불행한 일을 만났을 때도, 우리는 감사해야 합니다. 그 불행한 일로 인하여 기도하게 되고, 주님을 더 깊이 만나게 될 것이기 때문입니다. 그러므로 “무조건” 감사해야 합니다.
In time of getting misfortune, we must give thanks to God. Because of the misfortune, we are to pray and have deeper meeting with God. Therefore, we must give thanks in all circumstances.
2006년은 새로운 날입니다. 달력만 새것이 아닙니다. 삶이 새롭습니다. 새로운 것을 기대하는 날입니다.
The year 2006 is new. Not only calendar is new, but life. We expect new things this year.
감사해야 할 해입니다. 이전과 다르게 살아야겠습니다. 그것은 “덮어놓고 감사”하는 해로 만들어야 하겠습니다. 다짐합시다. 결심합시다. 하나님의 말씀대로 살기로. 말씀을 믿고 ‘무조건 감사하기로’ 마음을 크게 먹읍시다.
This year we need to give thanks. We are to different. We had better make this year the time of gratitude in all circumstances. Let's make a decision to live according to the Word of God, and to give thanks unconditionally.
금문교회의 2006년은 새롭습니다. 지나간 12년은 은혜 위에 은혜였습니다. 부족하지만, 소망 가운데 살았습니다. 조금씩이나마 성장해왔습니다. 오늘 우리의 모습은 비록 크지 않을지라도 이것은 성장한 것입니다. 눈에 보이지 않게 성장했습니다.
2006 is new for GGKPC. Last 12 years have been gracious. We have grown up steadily.
이제 다가온 새해, 2006년도에 우리는 “감사”를 예상합니다. 이 “예측”은 틀리지 않을 것이 분명합니다.
In the year 2006, we expect "gratitude" in all circumstances. This expectation will not be wrong.
우리는 내일을 모릅니다. 어떤 일이 일어날지 예상할 수 없습니다. 그러나 확실한 것은 그 어떤 경우라도 “하나님께 감사할 일” 이라는 것입니다.
We do not know about tomorrow. We cannot preview what would happen. But one things is very clear: anything would occur, it would be something we are to give thanks to God.

Let us give thanks to God in advance. We thank God for giving us life. Let us give thanks to God for the year of 2006.
어려운 일을 만나겠지요. 그러나 그것도 미리 감사합니다. 어려움 모르고 살면 감사도 모릅니다. 참 감사를 알 수 있도록 하나님께서는 적당한 어려움도 주실 것입니다. 그러나 ‘감당’할 수 없는 것은 주시지 않을 것을 믿습니다. 감당할 시련이라면, 그것은 훈련입니다. 좋은 군사는 좋은 훈련을 받은 사람들입니다.
We may meet hardships. But, even about the coming troubles, we give thanks to God in advance.
똑같은 사람이라도 좋은 훈련을 거치면 그는 훌륭한 일을 해낼 수 있습니다. 그런 은혜와 사랑이 넘쳐납니다. 이런 의미에서, 우리는 살아계신 하나님 아버지께서 좋은 훈련을 마련해 놓으신 것을 믿습니다.
With better training, a man can do better. Grace and love overflow. In this sense, we believe that the living Father God provided good training for us.
2006년은 ‘기회’입니다. 이 기회를 주신 것은 하나님이십니다. 하나님께서 주신 것을 하나님을 위해 써야 합니다.
The year 2006 is a chance. God gave us this chance. We need to use this chance for God.
미국의 어떤 상원의원은 대통령 후보였습니다. 그러나 그는 하나님을 모르는 사람이었습니다. 어떤 크리스찬이 있었습니다. 기도하는 중에 “가서 오늘 그에게 복음을 전하라!”는 말씀을 들었습니다. 상원의원실로 갔습니다. 그러나 면회가 불가능했습니다.
A senator was a candidate for presidency. He did not believe in God. A certain Christian heard God in his prayer: "Go and speak about the gospel." He visited the senator, but refused to have a meeting with him.
문 앞에 기다렸다가 “5분만” 면회를 요청했습니다. 그러나 거절당했습니다. 쫓아가면서 말 했습니다: “저는 기도하는 사람입니다. 하나님께서 당신에게 복음을 전하라고 하셨습니다. 한님께 5분만 드리십시오.” 그 상원의원은 손을 뿌리쳤습니다. “내게 그런 5분이 있다면 참 좋겠소. 난 너무 바쁩니다.”
Having waited outside of the door, he asked a five-minute interview, but was rejected. Following him, he said, "I am a man of prayer. God commanded me to deliver the gospel to you. Give five minutes to God, please!" The senator objected, "I would be happy to have an extra five minutes! I am too busy!"
그렇지만 그 크리스찬은 그 상원의원을 따라갔습니다. 시청 건물 안으로 들어갔는데, 실내 분수대 뒤쪽에서 괴한이 나타나 총을 쏘았습니다. 그 자리에서 상원의원은 암살되었습니다.
The Christian, however, followed him, asking for time. Having entered a building, a certain person appeared and assassinated him.
만일 그가 하나님께 5분을 드렸더라면 그는 살았을 것입니다. 하나님께 드리지 않은 그 5분이 그를 죽음으로 몰고 갔습니다.
If he gave the five minutes, he might have been survived. The five minutes not given to God drove him to death.
우리는 “Stop!” 시켜야 할 사람들이 있습니다. 그 사람들이 십자가의 복음을 듣고 살아야 합니다. 우리는 2006년을 “전도”의 기회로 받았습니다.
We have some people that we must stop them. They are to be heard about Jesus Christ, our Savior. We have had 2006 as a chance for delivering the good news.
하나님께서 주신 기회를 육신의 기회로 바꾸지 마시기 바랍니다. 전도의 사명을 감당합시다. 2006년에 하나님께서 금문교회를 위해 어떤 일을 이루실지 우리는 모릅니다. 그러나 분명한 것은, 하나님께서는 좋은 일을 마련해 놓으셨다는 것입니다. 아름다운 일을 이루실 것입니다. 믿으면 됩니다. 믿으면 우리는 하나님의 손에 사용될 것입니다. 하나님께서 우리에게 “힘”을 주실 것입니다. 아멘.
Don't change the precious divine chance into bodily one. Evangelize people. We do not know what would God do for GGKPC in 2006. What is sure, however, is God prepared good things for GGKPC. He will make a good thing for us. Let us believe in him. If believed, we will be used by the hands of God. God will give us power to do all the missions. Amen.
기도 Prayer
은혜로우신 아버지 하나님. 새로운 날을 주셨으니 감사드립니다. 기쁨으로 살아가게 하옵소서. 새해에는 우리에게 ‘부흥’을 허락하옵소서. 지경을 넓히게 하옵소서. 주 예수님 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.
Gracious Father God. We thank you for this new year. Make us live with joy. Give us growth in the new year. Broaden our territory. Give us happiness at home. In Jesus' name, Amen.
