1. 죄 짐 맡은 우리 구주
   What a Friend we have in Je-sus,
   어찌 좋은 친군지
   All our sins and griefs to bear!
   걱정 근심 무거운 짐
   What a priv-i-lege to car-ry
   우리 주께 맡기세
   Ev-'ry-thing to God in prayer!
   주께 고함 없는 고로
   O what peace we of-ten for-feit,
   복을 얻지 못하네
   O what need-less pain we bear,
   사람들이 어찌하여
   All be-cause we do not car-ry
   아뢸 줄을 모를까

2. 시험 걱정 모든 괴롬
   Have we tri-als and temp-ta-tions
   없는 사람 누군가
   Is there trou-bles an-y-where
   부질없이 낙심 말고
   We should nev-er be dis-cour-aged:
   기도 드려 아뢰세
   Take it to the Lord in prayer!
   이런 진실하신 친구
   Can we find a friend so faith-ful,
   찾아 볼 수 있을까
   Who will all our sor-rows share
   우리 약함 아시오니
   Je-sus knows our ev-'ry weak-ness

   Cum-bered with a load of care
   피난처는 우리 예수
   Pre-cious Sav-iour, still our Ref-uge
   주께 기도드리세

   세상 친구 멸시하고
   Do thy friends de-spise, for-sake thee
   너를 조롱하여도

   예수 품에 안기어서
   In His arms He'll take and shield thee,
